Peanut Budder Cups!! Yaaassss!

Well, here it is! Peanut Budder Cups! Still in time before the big day…Halloween! Or, just because they are effin’ delicious! And how easy it is to make edibles!

The kid memory I have about Reese’s cups is that of smooth, creamy, peanut buttery, chocolately deliciousness! Yep! All that!

After that memory, I had to make them!

I may not have been able to exactly reproduce the flavor and mouthfeel of a true Reese’s cup, I’m sure there is a proprietary recipe. But, I got pretty darn close. Mine have that special ingredient, so I am declaring them better!

On my first attempt, I used the chocolate I had on hand. Learn from me, baker’s chocolate is too hard for this project! When I bit into it the first time, all of the peanut butter oozed out of the center. Delicious but not the experience I wanted to have.

Second attempt at how to make edibles easily!

Next, to make things easy on myself on the second go-round, I chose plain chocolate candy bars and melted them down. They have the texture that I was used to and I knew they would harden perfectly.

As far as the center part, no surprises here! I did use a familiar brand of peanut butter for the same flavor concerns. I thought natural peanut butter might be too loose with its natural oils and my added butter.

I used a strain that would yield me 22mg per peanut butter cup BUT, I kept adding more budder to it to try and stiffen it. Probably not the brightest thing to do but I was a little high, so! guess that since I added two additional tablespoons of budder, my cups were about 30mg each!

Don’t let me hold you up! I know you want to get right into this!

So easy! So fun! So yummy! So on to how to make edibles easily!
